4 of the Oldest Cities in the World

Lebanon has 4 of the worlds oldest cities, dating as far back as 5000BC:
Tyre: 2750 BC
Beirut: 3000 BC
Sidon: 4000 BC
Byblos: 5000 BC
And as Martin Luther King once said “we are not makers of history. We are made by history.”

We are part of a land that’s been here and inhabited for more then 4000 years. We are so much more then this religion we were born into, Christians, Muslims, and Druze. We, as Lebanese, are a melting pot of civilisations (Phoenician, Assyrian, Babylonian, Macedonian, Roman), of cultures, and religions. The only thing that binds us together is this land. It’s the only thing that has remained from the past and will stay for the future (if we don’t drown it in our own garbage!).

I am proud to be a product of such a wealth of history.
For that reason I ‪#‎livelovelebanon‬ and I will ‪#‎fighton‬
